Ronald C. Griffith, Ph.D.

Dr. Griffith has over 30 years of R&D experience in both pharmaceutical and biotech companies. For the last eight years he served as Vice President of Research and Chief Scientific Officer at Genelabs Technologies Inc. (acquired by GlaxoSmithKline).  In Genelabs, he closed HCV partnership deals with Gilead Science valued at $100M, and Novartis, valued at $200M. He spent 23 years working as a Research Director in AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, and has held Vice President positions in Tanabe Research Laboratories, X-Ceptor Therapeutics and Isis Pharmaceuticals. He is the inventor and author of over 150 patents and publications. During his career he has been responsible for 16 IND filings and two compounds to NDA registration. Dr. Griffith received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Syracuse University and was an NSF postdoctoral fellow at the California Institute of Technology.
