Robert Higuchi, Ph.D.
Director of Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Discovery
Robert Higuchi received his Ph.D. at Stanford University as the Job and Getrud Tamaki fellow in the laboratory of Barry Trost. He has worked in positions of increasing responsibility at Ligand Pharmaceuticals, Mpex Pharmaceuticals, and most recently RQx Pharmaceuticals. At RQx, he was the Director of Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Discovery in their anti-infective programs, and lead the research team to a $111 million collaboration with Genentech. He is the author/inventor of 40 publications and patents.
