Herpes Simplex Type 1 (HSV-1) and Type 2 (HSV-2) Antiviral Services
HSV antiviral assays are routinely performed in Vero cells using herpes type 1 (HSV-1) and type 2 (HSV-2, strain G). EC50 values are obtained by estimating plaque-forming units / ml of cell culture following a standard plaque assay. Other HTS antiviral assays to estimate the extent of the virus-induced CPE are also available for screening of large number of compounds.
